Innago Vs. RentecDirect

Landlords and property managers know that software is the best property management option for modern real estate investors.

But with so many software companies on the market, it can be difficult to decide which platform to use.

Innago and RentecDirect are two popular options among landlords. However, they have some key differences in features, pricing, and reviews.

This article compares the pros and cons of Innago and RentecDirect based on four factors: pricing, features, customer support, and reviews. By the end of this article, you should hopefully have an idea of which option might be a good investment for your rental business.

Pricing

RentecDirect

Unlike many property management software companies, RentecDirect does not have pricing tiers or plans to choose from. Instead, the company has a pricing calculator. Your monthly cost is determined by the number of units you add: for less than ten units you’ll pay $45 per month, for 11-25 units you’ll pay $55 per month, and so on.

RentecDirect also divides up pricing models depending on your role. Rentec Pro is for landlords and investors, while Rentec PM is specifically for property managers, who may have need of slightly different features than landlords.

Innago

Innago has an even more unusual pricing model: access to the software is entirely free for landlords.

How can this be? Instead of charging landlords, Innago makes money by charging small fees to tenants for add-on services, such as paying with ACH transfer or credit card.

Tenants also pay small charges for renter’s insurance and credit/criminal reports during tenant screening. Landlords can cover these costs if they want, but they aren’t required to. That’s what makes Innago such a unique option—the only reason you’ll ever have to pay Innago is if you choose to take on fees for your tenants.

Features

RentecDirect

When it comes to features, both options offer a variety of real estate tools and resources. Some of RentecDirect’s key features include:

  • Online rent collection via ACH transfer, credit, or debit

Overall, RentecDirect’s features received 4.3 out of 5 possible stars on Capterra, a popular software review site.

Overall, Innago’s features received 4.8 out of 5 possible stars on Capterra. Reviews support this exceptionally high rating, many commenting that they prefer Innago’s intuitive features over other platforms’.

Customer Support

Whenever you purchase a product for your business, access to great customer support should be a given.

It’s no different with property management software. From setting up your account to asking questions down the line, the company’s support should be responsive and trustworthy.

RentecDirect’s customer support team received 4.6 out of 5 stars on Capterra. The company offers email, phone, and live chat support during business hours. RentecDirect also offers a blog with informational articles about the software and answers to common questions.

Innago offers customer support via email, phone, and live chat as well. However, Innago users are also assigned a personal customer support representative who answers questions and walks you through the set-up process. Innago users can also usually reach support outside business hours, and have access to informational blogs, one-on-one demos, and webinars.

Overall, RentecDirect received 4.6 out of 5 stars for customer support, while Innago received 4.9.

Reviews

The “likelihood to recommend” metric measures a person’s belief in a product or service. If you would recommend something to another person, it means you strongly believe in its value.

According to Capterra, 89.7% of respondents said they were likely to recommend RentecDirect to other landlords. On the other hand, 97.4% of reviewers said they would recommend Innago.

Conclusion

If you’re considering Innago vs. RentecDirect, there’s a clear winner in every category: Innago. Innago’s ratings beat RentecDirect’s in features, customer support, and overall satisfaction. Plus, its free pricing can’t be beat in the industry.

If you’re looking for property management software with intuitive design and solutions for all your rental needs, start with Innago.
