“POPPED A MOLLY, I’M SWEATIN… WOOOO!”

After the internet was abuzz with rumours of Trinidad James signing a $2 million dollar deal with Def Jam, after admitting to only rapping for 11 months, we get confirmation from Billboard that the ATL rapper has joined the Def Jam roster, alongside artists such as 2 Chainz, Kanye West, Rick Ross and more. While the terms of the deal have not yet been released, but the label will house his Gold Gang Records. According to Def Jam president, Joie Manda:

“We’re excited to welcome a young talent like Trinidad James to the Def Jam family,” Joie Manda says. “Def Jam prides itself as both a cornerstone of hip-hop’s rich tradition, and as a vital, forward-thinking label dedicated to breaking and nurturing emerging artists. Trinidad James represents the cutting-edge of what’s happening in the culture today. We are thrilled to have him at the label, and look forward to growing his already massive buzz.”

Pittsburgh makes 12-12-12 Wiz Khalifa Day

Amid rumours of death threats from the Gangster Disciples for gigs in Charlotte and Greensboro, North Carolina, Ross has issued a statement via AHH cancelling the remainder of the Maybach Music tour. Ross camp has cited the cancellation of the tour to the “apparent lack of organization and communication on the part of the tour promoter,” . Refunds were given today.

With the internet buzzing regarding GD and Ross, it’ll be interesting to see if Rozay tackles these rumors head on. Stay Tuned.
